A Judaism Engaged with the World

Lecture at The Great Synagogue, Jerusalem

On Tuesday 12th November 2013, over 2,000 people came to The Great Synagogue in Jerusalem, Israel to hear Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks deliver a lecture entitled “A Judaism Engaged with the World”.

Based around his latest booklet of the same title (A Judaism Engaged With the World), Rabbi Sacks spoke of the need to tackle one of the greatest threats faced by the Jewish people in the 21st century: that of a growing internal division between those who are heavily engaged in Judaism but choose not to engage with society, and those heavily assimilated into society at a cost of disengaging from their Judaism.
